Strange thing is I went to add more videos and this entire page was gone! All the photos, all the write ups of the development of the set, the stories, the plans were all missing. Everyone knows one thing about Sandra--she always keeps everything, even if it isn't important. Since this was so very important it is a shock that it's gone, so I will try to re-build the collection of photos and videos.
A couple things to remember are that our friends from Starliters joined us for the showcase. Thank you Brian Wells. My friends Bob and Mechelle Ott came to man the door and take care of the important things that weren't done yet on the night of the event. My co-artisitc director, Terry Bussard, stepped in and stepped up with inspiration, arranging, photos, planning and painting. Thanks to Andy for hotdogs, meatballs, macaroni salad and the the Mom's for desserts and stuff.
Our Hula Hoop contest had a tie: Maya and Valarie-next event will have the Hula Challenge of Champions.
Summer Sadness, Caroline & Olga, was voted 'favorite number' from the serious set--we didn't have a contest for the silly set.
The Jack & Jill to Please Don't Talk to the Lifeguard was won by Brian Wells and Maya.
Teacher awards and medal certifications were awarded to Greg Collings, Olga Kravcnenko, Paul Keifrider, Sue Smith, Terry Bussard and slso to Veronica and Victoria for their support.
It was our best showcase in many ways. Thank you to all the parents and dancers who participated, who helped and who supported our efforts to have fun dancing and interpreting the music.
