JUST IN TIME TEAMATCH, NOVEMBER 11
Just In Time Teamatch brought many dancers together for some showing off, some real competition, some comeraderie, some fun and spirit.
7 schools were represented. International style was most popular for youth, American style was more popular for adults. Club dancing was pretty popular too. There were no Solo Stars, so we will remedy that at the next event.
Many thanks go to andy fortuna for great music.
Many thanks go to Toria Holmes for scrutineering and setting up for the parking attendants.
Many thanks to Joshua Brownlie for handling the hardest part of the day-the deck.
Many thanks to Don for arranging for snacks and sandwiches for the adult competitors and to Andy and Valentina for making food for our judges.
Thank you to our judges, some of whom did double duty and danced between their judging duties: Ricky Bumarch, Camille Ardary, Carol Clarke, Gene LaPierre, Rene Ostarek.
Thank you to Ruth Yang for keeping the marks straight.
Many thanks to the people who went way out of their way and beyond the call of duty to help set up the room: Bob and Michelle Ott, Terry Bussard, Andy, Oksana Tkachuk.
Many thanks to the teachers who participatied: Brian Wells, Nina Estrina, Igor Zabrodin, Joshua Brownlie, Justine Kawas, Gene LaPierre, Camille Ardary, Don Simione, Jayson Flores.
Many thanks and congratulations to our dancers for taking the chance to be on display and endure nervousness.
I will be adding pictures as I collect them. Please share pictures and youtube videos! Videos of Jaiden and Natalia are below the slide show. Pictures by Justine's camera man are here and we will add more on Friday.
Testimonial
"It was a pleasure participating in the competition event on Saturday. It was refreshing to get a chance to talk to Andy & Valentina and meet Val's husband Josh.
I definitely thought of many good memories and I couldn't help but notice all of the portraits and picture frames in the small room reminding me of the great memories of the past. It was a blast to see some of our students recognizing but that was me at their age in those pictures.
My two girls had a great time dancing and it was certainly a worthwhile experience for them to prepare them for this week's competition in Ohio. I actually saw a very positive approach from all of our students and yours.
I am looking forward to you guys hosting a competition at Stardust. It was great seeing all of you and catching up even just for a bit.
Take care, Igor"
