PDR--Practce, Drill, Repetition, our prescription for your better dancing...
Intro to PDR Smootheez, Monday, 7:45pm.
PDR Latin, Wednesday, 6:15.
I realize that some dancers are like some citizens. Most American citizens don't care about the PROCESS for political change; we are only interested in the EFFECT and FINAL RESULT of legislation as it affects us. Many dancers don't care about the PROCESS for improving their dancing presentation; they are only interested in the CHOREOGRAPHY.
That's why PDR for Smooth and Standard is important and effective. It get's to the process of improving dance skills. Some dancers spend a lot of time, effort, money on things that they expect and hope will make a difference in their abilities and their appearance on a competition floor. It is easy to neglect the real measures of skill: posture, carriage of the arms, use of the head, tone in the body, rotation of the shoulders against the hips, awareness of the use of feet, use of the knees and feet for propulsion and control, awareness of foot placement, awareness of the music. These are things that can be learned and improved with Practice, Drill and Repetition, unassisted and unaccompanied by a partner.
